So how do you protect yourself from unscrupulous eBay sellers?
Cary Pfeffer, who runs the eBbay “iSold It” store on the North Side, says first of all, make sure you are doing business with a power seller.
“They have a track record of meeting all of their requirements and making happy customers. If you have a feedback or if a seller has a feedback of 99 percent or better, that’s someone you want to make a purchase from,” Pfeffer said.
In addition, Pfeffer says read the terms of sale, and stay away from sellers asking for checks or money orders. PayPal is the preferred payment method of most legitimate eBay-users.
