New Release of Mac Calling & Video Skype

Making that long distance call to Europe or Asia via Skype used to be a Windows-only affair. But the Luxembourg company is now letting Apple Mac users in on the fun.

Skype today released Skype for Mac 2.0, a beta version of its
calling software, that allows users to make free calls and video calls
between users. Now Mac users can contact any of the 113 million
existing Skype users without having to download additional software or
run Windows.

“Skype’s goal is to make Internet calling streamlined and simple for
everyone by providing innovative features and an intuitive design,”
said Stefan Oberg, director of product management for Skype. “Our
