New “Sell Your Item” Form LaunchedDavid Wygant, eBay senior product manager, recently announced that the Sell Your Item Form (SYI) is available after a full year of testing. This single-page form allows sellers to enter all item details, review and then submit listings without the hassle of loading multiple pages. The SYI form also offers a wider selection of fonts and colors to choose from, and sellers can also reuse templates to list similar items. Individual sellers may also save time by hiding many of the listing options they don’t need. eBay expects to have all sellers using the new system by the end of September.$100,000 Blogs, Reviews & Guides GiveawayTo promote the recently added eBay Blogs and Reviews & Guides sections, the auction giant is offering up a sack full of eBay Gift Certificates to be awarded to eBay members who login and either create a new (or edit an existing) eBay Blog, Review or Guide. Every second week until Oct. 17, 2006 judges will choose 100 writers to win at least $100 in gift certificates. A first-place winner will receive $2,500 ($1,500 for second) down to the last 50 winners each getting a $100 certificate. The bad news is that even though eBay is a worldwide marketplace, according to the contest rules, it is only open to US residents.
