Friday registered about 15 million shares of common stock for sale from time to time by certain selling stockholders.
The shares were originally issued to the selling stockholders in connection with eBay’s acquisition of Skype Technologies SA, a Luxembourg-based Internet phone service company, last October.
The online auction company said it won’t receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
Shares of eBay closed Friday at $24.43 each, up 73 cents from Thursday’s close.
