The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) on Tuesday announced it filed three lawsuits over alleged pirated software bought through the online auction site eBay Inc.The suits in U.S. District Court, Central District of California, are the first filed under SIIA’s new Auction Litigation Program, which aims to monitor popular online sites like San Jose-based eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY), identifying individuals or groups selling pirated software and prosecuting them on behalf of the association’s member companies.
