The eBay Foundation has committed $1.25 million to create an online community engagement initiative in partnership with the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
The eBay Foundation Community Engagement Program aims to inspire individuals and volunteer groups to take action against the six “unfreedoms” of racism, hunger, illiteracy, tyranny, genocide and slavery, the two groups said in a Tuesday press conference. The eBay money will go into a fund at the Freedom Center to support the effort.
