You see most of those ebooks will have a link inside it leading back to the authors website, therefore generating visitors to the site and hopefully some sales for higher priced items. Another way you can make money from those ebooks is to put a few afiliate links in them and jope that people reading them will buy through your link, therefore gaining the author a percentage of the sale.
