Whittington, 79, won’t comment, but restaurateur Bob Woody said Whittington’s wounds were “almost unnoticeable.�

Meanwhile, Time magazine reports an odd sign of Whittington’s fame: A collector asked Whittington whether he would sell some of the bird shot that doctors plucked out of him.
